BLKOUTUK’s New Digital Home Is Open and We’re Celebrating 🎉

In the spirit of the Combahee River Collective’s understanding that “the most profound and potentially most radical politics come directly out of our own identity,” we’re creating a digital space that reflects who we are – and honey, we are joyful revolutionaries and we’re staying woke (sorry/not sorry Donald).

Our new website at is LIVE and growing! Yes, it’s still finding its feet. Yes, some bits are coming together more slowly than hoped. But you know what? That’s exactly where the magic happens.

We’re Building in Public Because We’re Proud

Remember Audre Lorde said “the master’s tools will never dismantle the master’s house“? Well, we’re not just dismantling – we’re throwing a house party while we renovate!

This website is launching “incomplete” because:

  • Small is good, small is all: Every click, every visit, every moment you spend here adds to our collective power ✨
  • Trust the people: Y’all are brilliant! Your ideas will make this space shine
  • Move at the speed of trust: We’re not rushing – we’re dancing our way forward

Your Digital Playground Awaits

Click around and discover:

  • Spaces for sharing (your wins! your wisdom! your memes!)
  • Connections waiting to happen
  • Help when you need it, signposts to locate it
  • Tools for collective action (because we move together)
  • Room to breathe, dream, and scheme

Found a glitch? Celebrate it with us – it means we’re trying something new! Can’t find what you’re looking for? Perfect – tell us what would make your heart sing!

This Is Where Joy Meets Justice

We need you to:

  • Visit and vibe: Click everything! Break things! Have fun with it!
  • Dream big: What would make you excited to come back?
  • Share your truth: Screenshots of what made you smile, suggestions delivered with love
  • Bring your people: Good things are meant to be shared

Dancing at the Intersection

The Combahee River Collective knew our struggles are interlocking – but so is our joy! This digital home holds space for all of who we are: the fighters, the dreamers, the memers, the schemers, the ones who know that revolution can have a soundtrack and liberation looks good on us.

The Invitation Is Open!

Because revolution doesn’t have to be grim – sometimes it’s a celebration of what we’re building together. Sometimes it’s finding each other online and thinking “YES! These are my people!”

Every click is a small victory. Every visit is an act of faith. Every piece of feedback is a gift.

We’re not just building a website – we’re creating a digital block party, and you’re invited!

In solidarity, struggle, and celebration, BLKOUTUK

P.S. Screenshot your favorite part and tag us!

About the Combahee River Collective: In this Black History Month, we honor the Combahee River Collective – the visionary Black feminist lesbian socialist organization active from 1974-1980. Named after Harriet Tubman’s 1863 raid that freed 750 enslaved people, they gave us the term “identity politics” and taught us that liberation must address all systems of oppression simultaneously. Their 1977 statement remains a cornerstone of intersectional organizing, declaring: “If Black women were free, it would mean that everyone else would have to be free since our freedom would necessitate the destruction of all the systems of oppression.” Their legacy lives in every space where we refuse to separate our Blackness from our queerness from our womanhood from our class struggle – where we show up whole.
