An exciting opportunity to shape the research agenda, engage with policy decision-makers across London, and give voice to the issues and concerns raised by Black queer men so that they are fairly represented to London’s government.

We are recruiting ten researchers – each will have access to accredited support and training in research skills, pay for the time spent working on the project, funds to bring a group of their peers together for an event of their own design to explore a theme that emerges from the research, and on completion of the project, will join a pan-London, cross-community, social research panel with further opportunities for paid research work for the Mayor of London’s team.

In order to be able to celebrate the rich diversity of our communities we are particularly keen to hear from Black queer Londoner’s who are under 25, over 55, trans men, men living with HIV, guys who have refugee/asylum seeker experience.

If selected, participants will be paid £120 for each full days training/analysis (2), £15 per completed hour-long interview (4), £250 to co-host an engagement event for your peers to support further discussion

Applications close at noon Wed 19th June

If you’d like to meet the research team, or ask any questions face-to-face, please join us after the next Lesson In The Life workshop for an informal gathering

Supported by the Mayor of London’s Citizen-led Engagement Programme
