AVOID THE AIRLINE MELTDOWN AND DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT THIS SUMMER . . .
Last April, we were pleased to introduce BLKOUT’s readers to The Black Experience
This year, we’re working with Young Lloyd, and the organisers of the unique summer camping experience, for and by Black bi, gay and/or trans men over 25, so that more people can join the fun..
After last year’s successful summer camp, The Black Experience is back again, but time is running out to get on board. The deadline for booking is looming.
Sensitive to the reality that this has been a tough year for many, The Black Experience team have sought out sponsorship to offer two 3-day full bursaries, one reserved for a member of the target group seeking asylum or with refugee status, the other for a brother in financial need. To access this opportunity to get away with a great group of guys for a few carefree days, and to kickback in the English countryside, simply send a short email or click here to send a 2 minute video introducing yourself to The Black Experience Team.
3 day bursaries, how to apply for a grant
The grant will cover a 3-night stay for two persons, including board, food and entertainment. The grant is available to black gay, queer and trans men over the age of 25, who are either seeking asylum and have no financial recourse, or to those who have fallen on ‘hard times, financially. Further, the grant is available to those who have not attended the Black Experience UK camping event before.
To apply, please either write a maximum of 100 words or submit a 2-minute video explaining why you would like to get away for a few days at this year’s Black Experience event.
Please send your submissions to joeltrill@yahoo.com by the 15th of August 2022. You may be asked to provide information to support your application.
Thanks to sponsors’ generosity, The Black Experience are also able to offer two half price spaces at this year’s camp from 28th August – 2nd Sept, for those who have not yet been on this unique summer camp. The offer is simple to enter, just complete the form below to add your name and email address into the draw that will take place at the BLKOUT & PROUD Summer Picnic on Sunday 31st July.
