Join us on 22 December as we mark the end of a great year for BlackOut and celebrate the Season with Roy Inc’s Soul on Saturday at The Eagle in Vauxhall.
We get the spirit* at Soul on Saturday, South London’s premiere Soul, Funk, Groove and Disco happening for the discerning queer and friends.
It’s been way too long since we hung out together. Since Christmas is a time for family, we look forward to seeing you there from 9pm.
The amazing Roy Inc and The Eagle team have agreed to open early to welcome us and extended Happy Hour so that we can catch up and assess whether you’ve been naughty or nice. There’s a rumour that Black Santa may put in an appearance – a knee that you won’t mind perching on to divulge those Christmas wishes!
After BlackOut drinks, the dancers among us will stay on to hear guest DJ Conor Lynch plus residents Jeanie Crystal and the legendary Terry T-Rex, dig through their crates to deliver the best Soul and Funk of the genre – including the tunes you forgot you knew all the words to, sprinkled with the best of the new.
So erase the recent memory of the office party that ended in the hokey cokey to Come On Eileen, and Jim from the Sutton branch recounting that while (of course) he’s not gay, he ‘had a friend once, who offered to . . .‘, and welcome the season properly with BlackOut at Soul on Saturday.
Who knows, if there are enough of us who think its a good idea, Roy might even invite us back – creating more spaces for us by us for 2019; a fitting end to a great year.
