Yesterday we hosted an event as part of the BBC DiverCity Festival; Gay Britannia – Also Available in Black, to celebrate those who bring the stories of LGBTQ People of Colour to screen, and ask, ‘What next . . ?’

We’ve already commented on the low visibility of Black queer men in British television. Our panel of Asifa Lahore, Keith Jarrett, and Ben Hunte shared their experiences in the media industries. Our discussion ended with the group sharing their visions of ‘what good would look like’ for LGBTQ People of Colour in British broadcast media.

What do you think? How should we be represented, and what needs to change to make that happen?

Check out our Facebook page for more pics from the event
