Tickets for the next, Black Men Who Brunch, are now available online.
If you would like to contribute by performing, or leading a skills, development or arts workshop, find out more below, and use the linked form to send us your pitch for the 4th Sunday in Feb, March or April
So whether you are in a band that is finally ready to get out of the rehearsal room and on stage; or one that is tired of playing to thousands in stadiums and want to play a more intimate gig, get in touch.
We want to make Black Men Who Brunch more than a good square meal; a platform for talent, a beacon for shared learning, and a reliable source of fun and support.
Success will all depend on how willing we are to share our talents, knowledge and networks with each other.
To help the event to go smoothly, we are looking for more volunteers to join the team.
If you can spare the time, have good people skills, and a can-do approach, you’ll fit right in

In the market for a marketplace
In the run up to Christmas, many of us will have been shopping for trinkets, geegaws, and “those fripperies most kindly meant”, and after a day of unboxing, many will end up back in the stores or online, shopping again.
For the last few years, I have asked our Facebook followers to point out where I can shop for presents that would be both suitably fabulous for my wonderful friends and family, and that would support the business interests of a Black queer man. My inbox has been far from inundated.
It was great for BlackOutUK’s T-shirts to be included on the 2019 Christmas list of thoughtful gifts compiled by our friends at Nesta, The Innovation Foundation. We were especially pleased, because we’re in great company on that list, and because it meant that Unapologaytic also got a promotional boost.
Alongside pitches for workshops and performances, we are keen to receive pitches for participation in a marketplace from Black queer men who have relevant retail or services businesses.

We introduced BlackOut readers to the Creative Director of Juice last summer, it’s great to be working with Kingsley and his team as we develop a new departure in events on the London scene.
